Facebook to Match Users' Nepal Donations
A natural disaster on the other side of the globe can feel foreign and unreachable. But Facebook wants to bridge the gap between the world and those affected by the recent Nepal earthquake.
Facebook users will now see a message at the top of their mobile and desktop News Feed, prompting them to donate to the International Medical Corps.
What’s more, the social network will match every dollar donated, up to $2 million; the matching funds will be distributed to local relief and rescue organizations working to provide immediate and ongoing relief.
