Matching gift helps Catholic schools

Faith in the Future Foundation, the organization formed in 2012 to support Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will launch a day-long fund drive Wednesday, May 27.

The impetus for its first E-Giving Day was an anonymous donor’s $500,000 matching gift – for every dollar donated, the donor match up to a half-million dollars.

James S. Friend Jr., chief development officer for Faith in the Future, said in an email message May 20 that donors’ gift during the drive will help with tuition costs for the more than 14,000 students of the 17 Catholic high schools and four schools of special education in the archdiocese.
